Our Mission

The Mimes and Mummers is the oldest club at Fordham University’s Rose Hill Campus. Founded by Charles Melton Walcott in 1855, Mimes has been a valuable part of Fordham theatre for over 150 years. The club produces four main-stage shows a year, including two musicals, a comedy, and a drama. For each production, the Mimes hire professional directors and music directors from the New York City area. The club boasts a design team of students who head the producing, lighting, sound, set, costumes, properties, and publicity departments for each show.

Our mission is to foster student artistic and general development by providing first hand experience in leadership, organizational management, decision making, and technology.
